Course objectives
In the Forth industrial revolution soft skills are essential means, in combination with the specific knowledge and competences of the disciplines in which the participants have chosen to specialize, in order: to manage the functional passages at the entrance in the world of work (for example, selection procedures), and to face the challenges of their future profession in the most effective way.
Therefore, the course program focuses on:
- the definition and the characteristics of soft skills;
- the role and the importance of soft skills in life and work contexts as well as in the global socio-economic scenario;
- the reason why this growing relevance emerges; and
- the most suitable strategies for their development and/or consolidation.Nella quarta rivoluzione industriale le competenze trasversali costituiscono, insieme alle competenze tecniche del settore nel quale i partecipanti al corso hanno scelto di specializzarsi, una risorsa per gestire i passaggi chiave di un funzionale ingresso nel mercato del lavoro (a esempio le procedure di selezione) e affrontare le sfide della carriera lavorativa.L'insegnamento si propone pertanto di analizzare criticamente:
- la definizione e le caratteristiche delle competenze trasversali;
- il ruolo e l’importanza delle competenze trasversali nella vita sociale e nel contesto lavorativo così come negli scenari socio-economici globali;
- le ragioni per le quali tali crescente rilevanza emerge;
- le strategie più promettenti per lo sviluppo delle competenze trasversali e il loro consolidamento.

Results of learning outcomes
Each student completing the program should acquire:- the awareness of the role of soft skills in social inclusion, job placement and career management and economic development;
- the capability to recognize and handle soft skills and their applicability to different contexts and circumstances;
- the basic tools a for self-assessment of personal soft skills;
- the propensity to integrate and / or strengthening of individual soft skills;
- the competences to define punctually an action plan aimed at developing weaker skills.
Grazie all’insegnamento lo studente acquisirà:- la consapevolezza del ruolo delle competenze trasversali nella definizione del grado di inclusione sociale, dell’inserimento lavorativo e nella progressione di carriera, nello sviluppo economico;
- la capacità di riconoscere e gestire le competenze traversali e il loro utilizzo in differenti contesti e circostanze;
- gli strumenti di base per l’autovalutazione delle proprie competenze trasversali;
- la propensione a integrare e rafforzare le competenze trasversali individuali;
- l’abilità di definire puntualmente un piano di azione teso a sviluppare le competenze in difetto.

Learning assessment methods
The final evaluation is based on a written test on all course topics. It is managed as an in-class, closed-notes and closed-books assessment and consists of thirty-one multiple choices, true or false, filling gap questions. Students have thirty minutes to answer.The procedures for verifying learning may undergo variations in relation to the evolution of the Covid-19 health emergency.
METHODS OF LEARNING EVALUATION – RECTOR’S DECREE N. 1561
Starting from the 2020-21 summer session, the exams will be held as an in-class evaluation on all course topics (Rector's Emergency Decree no. 1561 of April 16th 2021)
The assessment will take place at the SAA - School of Management and is organized as a written test, composed of thirty-one closed-ended queries (multiple choices, true or false, filling gaps, cloze, match demands…). Students have thirty minutes to answer.
Students residing or dwelling off-site, in quarantine, in a highly frail situation or cohabiting with family members in a highly frail situation may apply for remote evaluation (online). In this case the learning evaluation will be exclusively held as an oral interview, on five really specific questions. Students will be questioned according to the schedule defined by the Commission. All course topics will be involved in the assessment.
To access to the remote evaluation, the eligible students must strictly comply with the following procedures.
- Residence or dwelling outside the Piedmont region or quarantine (both mandatory and fiduciary)
The student must regularly register for the test on Esse3, indicating in the Notes field the need to take the test remotely and the relative motivation ("Residence outside the region" or "dwelling outside the region" or "Quarantine").
At the same time, the student have to provide the declaration duly signed and accompanied by a front / back copy of the identification document. The form can be found on the Moodle page of Soft skills in business page AY 2020-21, Section “Methods of learning evaluation”. The required documentation must be uploaded in the folder “Exam mode - Appeal of dd / mm / yyyy” within the exam registration deadline.
- Fragility of oneself or of cohabiting family members
The student must regularly register for the test on Esse3, indicating in the Notes field the need to take the test remotely and the relative motivation ("Fragility of oneself" or "dwelling outside the region" or "of cohabiting family members ").
At the same time, the student have to provide the declaration duly signed, a front / back copy of the identification document upload the documentation and the certification of the attending physician or specialist who certifies the presence of this condition without specifying its nature or indicating other sensitive health data. The form to certify the reasons for the request can be found on the Moodle page of Soft skills in business page AY 2020-21, Section “Methods of learning evaluation”. The required documentation must be uploaded in the folder “Exam mode - Appeal of dd / mm / yyyy” within the exam registration deadline.
The condition of high "high fragility" refers to the definition of Category 1, Table 1 or Table 2, of the interim Recommendations on the target groups of the anti Sars-Cov2 / Covid 19 vaccination of the Italian Ministry of Health, published in the Official Journal, Series general, of 23 March 2021, n. 72 (available at the link).
Please note that making false statements or forming false documents constitutes a crime and the Administration reserves the right to verify the veracity and authenticity of what is declared or transmitted.
La prova finale è strutturata nella forma del test su tutti gli argomenti del corso. La verifica si svolgerà in classe e non sarà permesso consultare appunti e/o saggi. Gli studenti avranno trenta minuti per rispondere a trentuno domande a risposta multipla, vero o falso, con un testo da completare.Le modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento potranno subire variazioni in relazione all'evolversi dell'emergenza sanitaria Covid-19.
MODALITA' DI VERIFICA DELL'APPRENDIMENTO - DR 1561
Come stabilito dal Decreto Rettorale d’Urgenza n. 1561 del 16 aprile 2021, a partire dalla sessione estiva 2020-21 gli esami si terranno in presenza in forma scritta presso la sede della Scuola di Management ed Economia.
Lo scritto consiste 31 domande chiuse (da 1 punto – potenziali tipologie di domande: vero/falso, scelta multipla, completamento, cloze, ordinamento). Gli eventuali errori non comportano votazioni negative. Durata: 30 minuti.
Gli studenti residenti o dimoranti fuori sede, in quarantena, in situazione di elevata fragilità o conviventi con familiari in situazione di elevata fragilità potranno richiedere il sostenimento a distanza (online) che avverrà con modalità orale secondo il calendario che la Commissione predispone. Per fare richiesta, lo studente dovrà:
A. per il caso di residenza o dimora fuori dalla regione Piemonte ovvero di quarantena (sia obbligatoria che fiduciaria):
· iscriversi regolarmente alla prova su Esse3, indicando nel campo Note la necessità di sostenere la prova in remoto e la relativa motivazione (“Residenza fuori regione” oppure “Dimora fuori regione” oppure “Quarantena”);
· inserire entro il termine di iscrizione all’esame la documentazione nell’insegnamento moodle a.a. 2020-21 (voce Modalità esame - Appello del gg/mm/aaaa) la dichiarazione sostituiva (il modulo è reperibile alla pagina moodle dell’insegnamento a.a. 2020-21 - Modalità esame) debitamente sottoscritta e corredata di copia fronte/retro del documento di riconoscimento.
Si precisa che la condizione di temporanea dimora fuori Regione non implica che lo/a studente/ssa sia automaticamente legittimato a sostenere l’esame a distanza; sarà la Commissione d’esame a valutare la gravità della condizione di impedimento, decidendo se concedere o meno questa possibilità.
B. per il caso di fragilità propria o di familiari conviventi:
· Iscriversi regolarmente alla prova su Esse3, indicando nel campo Note la necessità di sostenere la prova in remoto e la relativa motivazione (“Fragilità”);
· inserire entro il termine di iscrizione all’esame la documentazione nell’insegnamento moodle a.a. 2020-21 (Modalità esame - Appello del gg/mm/aaaa) la dichiarazione sostituiva (il modulo è reperibile alla pagina moodle dell’insegnamento a.a. 2020-21 - Modalità esame) debitamente sottoscritta e corredata di copia fronte/retro del documento di riconoscimento e della certificazione del medico curante o specialista che attesti la presenza di tale condizione senza specificarne la natura né indicare altri dati sanitari sensibili.
Si precisa che per la condizione di elevata «elevata fragilità» si fa riferimento alla definizione della Categoria 1, Tabella 1 o Tabella 2, delle Raccomandazioni ad interim sui gruppi target della vaccinazione anti Sars-Cov2/Covid 19 del Ministero della Salute, pubblicate nella Gazzetta Ufficiale, Serie generale, del 23 marzo 2021, n. 72 (consultabile al link).
Si ricorda che rendere false dichiarazioni o formare documenti falsi costituisce reato e l’Amministrazione si riserva di effettuare verifiche sulla veridicità e autenticità di quanto dichiarato o trasmesso.
